Redbud Lane Nursery is located in Holly Springs in Cherokee County, Georgia. Owner Paul Long began his nursery career working at his father's side when he was old enough to carry a flower pot.  After he married Phyllis, she took a semester off from college to help in the nursery office and the two have worked side-by-side ever since.  April 1, 2008 will mark 35 years in the business and they are among Georgia's most respected growers.

   Paul & Phyllis have watched the nursery "grow" since 1973, thanks to the help of many gifted and talented people.  Known as Long's Nursery until 1976 and then as Long & Patrick Nursery, Inc. during a successful 20 year partnership, Paul and Phyllis became sole owners once again in 1996 and renamed the company Redbud Lane Nursery. Today the highly skilled staff includes Assistant Managers Brian Bell and Patrick Long (a 3rd generation Long); Diane Jones as Senior Production Leader, while Janis Marshall-Kroen keeps the office running smoothly.  This management team has 110 years combined experience level in the Southeastern wholesale plant market.

   The nursery is comprised of 82,000+ square feet of professional greenhouse space and acres of available outdoor growing space.  The product line is extensive and consists of  6-pak and 18-pak spring & fall annuals, an impressive array of seasonal specialty vegetative plants in 4 inch pots, beautiful 10" ferns and lovely flowering hanging baskets, spectacular 12"  mixed flowering baskets, a fair selection of 1 gallon annuals and perennials, and a breathtaking assortment of container gardens. Redbud Lane Nursery specializes in meeting the needs of independent garden centers throughout North Georgia and beyond.

   Paul is an active board member of GGIA (Georgia Green Industry Association), proudly serving as President of the Floriculture Division.  A long-time member of the former Georgia Flower Growers Association, Paul was named the 2002 Member of the Year for his efforts to secure a state sales tax exemption for greenhouse heating fuels
